Someone recently asked me if a stranger had ever done a nice thing for me.

And I'm from New York, so I immediately said no.

But then I remembered a few weeks ago.

The sweet older man from my block paid for my bodega coffee when I didn't have enough

money.

And it got us thinking, how common is compassion?

So we asked you.

Someone stopped, get out of their car, and came over.

This gentleman is a canned stranger.

Someone gave me their kidney that I did not know before.

Because of that small act of kindness she did for me, I was able to apply to a college.

I called the woman I had just met on the bus.

He said, grab your belongings and come stay with me until we can figure this out.

Apparently compassion is a lot more common than I thought.
