Hello, Sprouts. Today is August 10th, 2018. This week on Catholic Sprouts, we have talked about the little way of St. Terese. We talked about our elevator to heaven. That's Jesus's arms. We talked about how we're called to be beautiful flowers that bloom for the

glory of God. We've talked about how we might not be called to do great things, but we are called to

do small things with great love. And yesterday we talked about how we might be called to do great things.

But before that, we are absolutely called to do a million little things so that Jesus can give us the strength and the courage to do those great things when they come along.

Today, we are going to talk about perhaps the greatest thing that we can do, which is love each other.

But we're going to be honest.

Sometimes it's hard to love people.

Sometimes we find someone annoying.

Sometimes we just don't get along with them. And sometimes we just get so angry that we

don't want to be around them anymore. And yet in the little way, we are reminded that we are called

to do small things, a million small things each day with great love.

Now, this doesn't mean that we do some things with love and other things with anger or

irritation. It means that we do everything with love. But how are we supposed to love people

that we don't even like? People that we find

obnoxious? Well, St. Cherez has a story about that. St. Cherez wrote about how one nun,

a fellow nun, in the convent she belonged to, was just irritating. She was very hard to be around. The thing she would say,

the way she would do it, no one really wanted to spend time with her. Even St. Charest, she admitted

that she didn't really like this nun. And yet, she knew that the path to holiness was paved with a million

little things done in great love. But St. Cherez just felt like she didn't have enough love

inside of her to love this woman. She was so hard to love. But St. Choraz found an answer for us.

She realized that God himself is love. God is an infinite ocean of love. That's all he is. We could never understand how much love God is. And so here is how Cherez found the love that she needed to give to this
