Once upon a time, there lived a little pirate crab called Crawford.

His father was the kind but fearsome pirate Captain Crabbie.

His ship was called the Wandering Barnacle.

This was because Captain Craby did not have a parrot,

but instead he had a beloved barnacle called Barlow.

Captain Craby also had a wooden leg.

He had fought once with an errant lobster and lost it at sea.

Crawford, Captain Crabby and their entire crew were Peaky-toe crabs, and thus they called themselves.

The Peeky Pirates.

The Peeky Pirates had a long-standing relationship with the turtles of Shell Island.

It was a beautiful and peaceful place where all turtles lived no matter whether on land or sea.

The crabs would hide their treasure on the island and the turtles would protect it and make sure it was always safe.

It went on for generations just this way.

No one ever found out where the crabs kept their plunder.
