All right, we're in a series called The Holy Bible Beyond Words. And I thought that this would be the last

message in the series this week, the week before the Christmas production, but I actually

have one more message.

And so next week ends the Christmas production, and then the next week I'll bring the concluding

message to this series.

This week we're going to talk about the light of the lamp.

The light of the lamp.

Look at Psalm 119, probably a familiar scripture to you,

verse 105.

Psalm 119, this is the longest chapter in the Bible, verse 105.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and the light to my path.

Your word is a lamp to my feet

and the light to my path.

Now I want to take a little survey this morning

at both campuses and people in overflow. I want to ask you a question

that is have you at any time in your life, and I want you to respond by raising your hands,

have you at any time in your life ever been walking across a

dark room? Maybe you had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom or

the kitchen and have you ever, while you were walking across this dark room

stubbed your toe. Can I see your, okay a lot of clumsy people here, okay, every one of us have done it. And the reason is it's

because we didn't have, it's very simple, a lamp to our feet and the light to our path.

Would you agree with me that we are living in a dark world?
