I made a mistake.

Unfortunately, a choice that only in retrospect was a mistake.

One that cannot be corrected by me.

When I was 11, my parents got me a simple black leather journal that I was supposed to write

my thoughts on feelings in.

I honestly didn't.

And I've forgotten about the journal until recently.

As I was growing up, I developed a love for writing horror, taking the dark thoughts

and depression-filled episodes I had and writing it out really, really helped me.

It led to me feeling like my life was getting better.

It was easier to get up every day.

And I had something to look forward to that would help me on a day-to-day basis.

I always, always, would type my stories out on my computer.

It was easier for me to edit there.

And most of the time, I would notice mistakes in my writing a lot more.
