This evening, we are reading the final pages of the life and adventures of Santa Claus.

But before we do, take some time to be present where you are right now.

Begin by taking one deep breath in through your nose and exhaling out through your mouth.

I invite you, if you haven't already, to gently close your eyes.

Consider where your body is the positioning your environment and tune in to how your body is if you become

aware of any tension anywhere, try to allow that to soften mentally, and feel free to adjust your body if that helps.

Now find a stillness.

Take your awareness to your environment.

Notice any sounds appearing and disappearing.

Any smells that might be familiar and comforting to you?

What does the fabric of your mattress or chair or blankets feel like against your skin.

Focus on those acute sensations to help bring you into the present.
