Summary

With only two games left in the 2018 season, Carolina finds itself in desperate need for victories as the year comes to a close. This week the Tar Heels face off against yet another intra-state opponent, as the Western Carolina Catamounts travel to Chapel Hill in what should be, on paper at least, a game that UNC will win. The Heels are currently favored by over 30 points against WCU, and with next week's game being against rival NC State, this is an ideal opportunity for Carolina to garner some momentum heading into their season finale. Mike Ingersoll, Taylor Vippolis, and E.J. Wilson join host Jon Seiglie to give their thoughts on the WCU matchup, and discuss the potential ramifications this game might have for the upcoming clash with NC State. Going to be discussing the Western Carolina game, getting into a little bit of NC State since it is next week's game.

0:33.7

But we will save most of that for next week, aka hate week.

0:40.1

So, guys, how are y'all doing Carolina one win on the season? You know, how's the spirits right now? Taylor,

0:46.0

since you're the first one I see on my screen here, let's start with you and then go down the

0:49.9

line. I'm personally doing well. You know, one of the things that I had to do when I signed up for this job at Inside Carolina is when I was talking about Buck is kind of tuck away the fandom and be this subjective reporter.

1:05.6

So I've tried to kind of distance myself from the team.

1:08.5

But even saying that, it's kind of hard to do just because of

1:13.2

how close I am with some of the coaches and some of the players still on this team. So I definitely

1:18.5

feel for them. I love North Carolina. I obviously wish they were doing a lot better. But

1:24.7

personally, I'm doing pretty well.

1:33.3

Good to hear, man. Look, there's got to be some positivity right now. E.J., your next one up,

1:39.7

man. How about you? The only positivity I have is that we have Westing Carolina, then NC State, and then this nightmare of a season will be over. I honestly, personally, it affected me a little bit personally at the end of the year,

1:50.3

but I mean, when you get kicked in the teeth so much,

1:52.6

at some point you got to just turn the other cheek, I guess I was saying,

1:56.5

just focus on some of the other things, the fact that we didn't turn the ball over last game,

2:01.3

so I can feel pretty good about that.

2:04.3

Small victories, but unfortunately, I mean, Carolina's got to put something up on the scoreboard,
