podcast. And I have a story with a funny little title today. It's called The Let Go

Approach. It's from Martin and Sylvia Saturdays. And I picked

this story because the theme of this week is about creating your own happiness. You know at Sparkle,

this year we're celebrating all things that Sparkle really loves and values like connection and creativity

and play and wonder and joy

and all those things. And one of the things I know, one of the things I know really deeply and that

our stories tell over and over is that really we're responsible for our own happiness.

If we want to have a joy-filled life, it's up to us. It's not up to anybody else.

And so this story is very much about that. And in the story, Martin is getting super frustrated

because he has this amazing idea for this gift for Sylvia. It's so magical. And he wants to do

it in a magical way way but nothing is working.

And so Daddy comes forward and says, hey, I've got an idea.

Let's try the let go approach.

Now parents, if you're familiar with the let them theory, it's really awesome actually.

But this story was written like 12 or 13 years ago before that was even a conversation.

So it's an idea that's been around a long time that sometimes if you let go and allow things to unfold,

things will work out in ways you wouldn't have imagined.
