Summary

The men and women of the FBI are entrusted with defending Americans from their enemies at home and abroad. As an FBI Legat, Kathy Stearman performed that service in a variety of foreign locales. But even as she faced off against terrorists, she was fighting another insidious threat - one that affects women in every field. 1:15.6	In all the FBI's long history, she was one of the first women to become a legal attaché or ligat.
1:22.6	The most senior agent the bureau has stationed at US embassies around the world.
1:27.6	As ligat, Kathy spent much of her time putting away terrorists throughout Asia,
1:33.6	but like any organization. The FBI had its own internal challenges.
1:38.6	So whilst the job was meant to be about fighting terror, on the home front, Kathy was more used to fighting sexism.
1:45.6	When she joined the FBI in 1987, Kathy was one of only 600 female agents out of a total 10,000.
