Last week, we dug into the cuisine from a U.S. city designated as a UNESCO city of gastronomy,

one of only two cities in the country.

I would be happy to give an advertisement for food in Tucson.

If you like Mexican food, there's a lot of really great restaurants.

Mexican food that is different from anywhere that you've tried.

But if you're all caught up, here's my lightning round with M. Ward.

Number one, what is your perfect birthday cake or dessert if you're not a cake person?

You know, I think I'm not a huge cake person, but my favorite dessert would be some kind of

pumpkin pie or, yes, I must say pumpkin pie.

Outside of Thanksgiving, too, or only around the holidays?

I only have it during the holidays, to be honest.

I'd have to think about some more about that, but the first thing that comes to mind is, yeah, only pumpkin pie.

I read that you're a big Twin Peaks fan.

Have you made it up to North Bend to go to Tweeds?

I have.

Tweeds Cafe is in North Bend, Washington, a super cute mountain town about 30 miles east of Seattle.

And it's where they filmed all the diner scenes in Twin Peaks. It was called the Double Our Diner on the show.

And it's been a diner under different names since 1940. Because of Twin Peaks, they're famous for their cherry pie and damn fine cup of coffee,

which is what FBI's special agent Dale Cooper, played by Kyle McLaughlin, orders on the show.
