Well, my view is that every vote matters. And the way we can make that happen is that we can have national voting, and that means

get rid of the electoral college and everyone. Everybody. Everybody.

That Senator Elizabeth Warren at a recent appearance in Jackson, Mississippi.

She's an advocate for abolishing the Electoral College and replacing it with a national popular vote.

Seems like a niche issue, doesn't it?

But she's not the only one. Here's Mayor Pete Buttigieg on CBS.

Well, first of all, we've got to repair our democracy. The electoral college needs to go because

it's made our society less and less democratic.

And how about Senator Kamala Harris on Jimmy Kimmel?

Senator Warren, Elizabeth Warren, had a town hall last night, and she said that she thinks

we should do away with the electoral colleges.

Do you agree with that?

I think that it's, I'm open to the discussion.

I mean, there's no question that the popular vote has been diminished in terms of making the final decision about who's the president of United States, and we need to deal with that.

Senator Cory Booker is in.

I believe very simply that in presidential elections, the person with the most votes to be the president in the United States.

Here's Beto O'Rouric, agreeing with Senator Warren.

I think there's a lot to that, because you had an election in 2016, where the loser got

three million more votes than the victor. It puts some states out of play altogether.

They don't feel like their votes really count.
