When we were kids, one of the games we enjoyed playing so much was follow the leader. Most all of you've played that at some point in life. And the only great struggle when you play that game is who gets to be the leader. Isn't that true in all of life?

The reality is everybody's going to follow somebody.

And the great struggle in life is to discover and decide who you're going to follow.

Who gets to be the leader?

Now, you know, with most children, the way we

resolved it was, whoever's house we were playing at, that's who got to be the leader. Well, let me just

tell you, we're all playing in the Lord's backyard. We live in God's world. We breathe God's

air, drink God's water, eat God's food, enjoy God's sunshine, listen to God's

bird sink. And it just makes sense that if we are living in God's world, we ought to be following

his leadership. I want to suggest you today that the greatest life on earth is the lead life.

You know, most of us like to be in charge. We like to take the lead.

We like to make the plans. Oh, but the great life is not that. The great life is the lead life.

We're talking about how to discover and do the will of God. I showed you a great story from the New Testament, from the life of the famous Apostle Paul about finding direction and obeying the Lord's

leadership. But I want to bring you now to an Old Testament story so that you'll see it yet again

through another lens, but the same principles found in Genesis chapter

number 24. Now it's an amazing chapter and I don't have time to read the entire chapter with you.

I want to challenge you to do that. But the short story is that Abraham, who we know very well,

is looking for a wife for his son, Isaac. He's got to find a wife for the air or something is not going to work out well about this
