The story I'm going to tell you occurred when I was a young man, first a kid and then a

young man. And it was about a man who grew up as my father's, one of my father's best

friends in a very poor neighborhood in New York City. They were immigrants together.

A parent's came over. They came over, I think, maybe on the same boat. They met each other

in the slums in New York. And they both had a very tough life. And they worked their way

up, little by little, little by little, as the immigrants have to do, and as they struggle

in their society. And this man went into a business that took off at a certain point,

like a rocket. He hit a fad in a certain business and he started to make a great deal of money.

And he moved way beyond our family while we lived in an attached house in Queens, New York
