Hello, everybody. It's kind of crazy to have the newscast on a Tuesday night, isn't it, Bill and Landon? It is a little crazy, but crazy things are happening all across the country when it comes to the Mormon Church and their temples. You said it. That's exactly right. It's funny not to have RFM. He will be joining us soon, but instead we have Landon. Would you like to fill in for RFM, Landon?

Do you think you can, I don't know, act like you? I don't know if I can pull those shoes. Yeah. I don't think anybody can fill those shoes. So, well, this is a very special newscast edition, because tonight the Fairview Town Council is going to be voting on the McKinney LDS Temple. This is, you know, we've been talking about this for months, and it's kind of coming to this point, coming to a head tonight. The wonderful people of Fairview, Texas, sent Landon and I, these incredible Fairview United shirts. I know it was so nice. We were actually supposed to be there on the ground in Texas, but I had a family

member in the hospital, and we opted not to go, but we do have some other friends on the ground, so we will be able to share some footage. Do you have any thoughts, Bill, as we kind of enter into this hour, we're going to kind of talk pre-show for about an hour. The meeting starts an hour from now. And at that point, we will simply stream

the meeting with limited commentary. I mean, if we feel there's a lull and we have to say something

we might, but mostly we'll just let everybody watch that meeting. Yeah, a couple of things. Folks,

there's already 236 people watching us live. Please share this. If you can, if some folks can try to put this on

ex-Mormon Reddit, the Mormon Reddit, put it into various social media circles. We really

want folks to be able to watch this unfold as it occurs. We'll spend some time here over the

next hour explaining sort of why we're on tonight and what's going on for those who haven't been paying close attention.

And I think we'll get a lot of feedback from a few voices on the ground. And I think this is an important moment.

I think this is one of those moments where we get to see if the church can bully people into doing what it wants,

or if a town can rise up and stand up against the church and force the church to back away from some of the unhealthy things that it's doing.

Yeah, I think this goes even beyond the church because this is a civic meeting.

And I think this goes to the laws of the land as well.

Basically, the argument that the church is making is that they're exempt from every rule that

the town could put that state and federal law allows them to build whatever they want because of the fact that they're a religion.

And basically by doing that, what they're saying is that they trump the Constitution that civic laws are not to be enforced by civic leaders, but to be interpreted and instituted

by religious leaders, and that religious leaders rule what happens in towns. And that's why I
