Last October, right after my story for the big, famous podcast got killed, I was still feeling bad about the layoff.

This was before I started working on the series, and I had all these thoughts, emotions, and creative

energy, and no outlet. So I decided to use the oldest trick in the book for processing feelings,

making a song.

You lay me off. I cry. But I know nothing about writing songs, which is why I've enlisted my poor, sweet music producer, husband, Kyle, to help me.
