Summary

Part 3 Join me as I delve into one of the most powerful and timeless arguments for individual liberty and limited government: Frederic Bastiat's "The Law." Written in 1850, this short yet profound work remains relevant today, offering critical insights into the nature of true law, justice, and the dangers of legal plunder. He's associated with the Mises Institute.

1:03.2

And it's going to be a very interesting education on the timeless lessons of Bostiat and why we need to return to them and remind

1:17.8

ourselves of them now more than ever. So I'm super excited about that. That's going to be good one.

1:23.7

And then the book I'm going to do after this, because there's all this UFO stuff going on,

1:28.5

1:56.3

and he includes long passages from their works, and they get a little, you know, not everybody

2:04.5

is the greatest writer, so they get a teeny bit tedious, so I'm going to do my best to

2:08.0

read them so that they're easy to listen to and understand, and then he just, I think he

2:14.1

feels like they speak for themselves, and he puts a little bit of commentary here and there.

2:17.5

So we are up to Raynaul, R-A-Y-N-A-L, Raynaul.

2:23.3

And this is a quote from Raynail.

2:25.8

The climate, that is, the air and the soil, is the first element for the legislator.
