So here's my question for you.

What is your favorite goalie cliche?

What is your favorite go-to goalie cliche?

Like when a goaltender steals a game, what's the cliche you use?

I'm guessing you used it after Saturday's win by the Florida Panthers in game one,

3-0, 32-safe performance by Sergey Barbravsky.

And we all trotted out things like, as Ned Harkness would say,

in the 70s, one four-year-old's third year, did change the name of the game from hockey to goalie,

because that's what it's all about.

Or as Elaine Vino would say, hockey is very easy.

If your goaltender is better than my goaltender, you win, But if my goaltender is better than your goaltender, I win.

And then there's one, and I don't know who to ascribe this quote too.

Remember the first time someone said it to me was Sherry Basson, the legendary Sherwood Basson.

I don't know if he came up with it. But the saying goes, if you have a goalie at 70% of your team, if you don't, it's 100. Who said that? Addie, do you know who said that first? I don't know. I've never been able to trace back to find out who said that one. Which one, sorry? If you have a goaltender, it's 70% of your team.

If you don't, it's 100.

Sherwood Basson.

Yeah.

The legend was the first one that said that to me once. Like, ooh, that's good. I got to remember that one. I feel like Alan Vino said it as... No, no, no, no. Vino was the, my goalie's better than your goal. your goal is better than mine.
