But the fact that the Washington Capitals are in position to control their destiny with a win

tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers, they are in Wild Card 2.

And there are some wild clinching scenarios here that we're going to go over in a couple of moments.

Well, I'll start reading them. And if I get the sense that I'm boring everybody more so than normal, I'll probably just stop and say everything's going to sort itself out later on tonight. But the Washington Capitals face off against Philadelphia Flyers tonight. There's a number of games of intrigue, including the Detroit Red Wings facing off against the Montreal Canadiens again,

a thriller last night in Detroit.

It took overtime.

It took Lucas Raymond, who now has 31 goals on the year.

He's having a fantastic season.

And the Detroit Red Wings are, as the BGs once saying, staying alive in the hunt for the final wildcard.

But as we just heard Charlie Lindgren say,

and as you look at the standings, the tie-break scenarios,

and who controls what,

the capitals win tonight, it's over.

And that's why if there is a situation where it is late in the third period

and the Washington Capitals and the Philadelphia Flyers are tied,
