Hi there, everyone. It's 4 o'clock in New York this afternoon. Our very economy is the latest victim of Donald Trump's highly destructive presidency because the new jobs numbers are out and they're not pretty. First, the top line numbers for you.

0:23.0

Only 22,000 jobs added in the month of August. The unemployment rate rose slightly to 4.3%. And then

0:30.3

there's this reporting in the New York Times. Quote, the economy has been cooling since its red, hot

0:36.3

pandemic peak in the face of high interest rates

0:38.7

and has been recently buffeted by a barrage of tariffs and other disruptive economic

1:39.3

unreliable that they're being revised all the heck over the place. A completely different story

1:42.7

if we have a million fewer jobs has happened the last time

1:45.6

that there was a revision.

1:46.9

And so that's one reason why President Trump thinks we need a new set of eyes over there at

1:50.7

BLS to fix this problem.

1:54.1

Hours before the American people even knew anything about these other brutal jobs numbers.

2:01.7

Trump was playing one of his favorite games,
