We begin today in the Middle East, where the government in Israel says it's calling up tens of thousands of additional reserve soldiers.

This would be in preparation for the Israeli military's plan to take

control of Gaza City. Right now, the Israel Defense Forces control about 75% of the Gaza Strip,

but it says in parts of Gaza City some Hamas militants remain. In a few minutes, we'll hear

from two American physicians working inside the Palestinian territory. First, though, here's the world's
