Good morning, everyone.

We'll begin today with our senior politics reporter Bridget Bergen after the two major

entrances into the New York City mayoral race this week by

Andrew Cuomo over last weekend and yesterday by the city council speaker Adrian Adams,

no relation to Eric, except they did grow up in the same neighborhood in Queens and they did

go to the same high school, Bayside High School, same as me, but I'm not running. Hi, Bridget,

thanks for coming on. Good morning, Brian. I love that Bayside connection. It's such a great,

I love, you know, we've got mayoral candidates and Brian who all went the same high school

together. I did actually have this idea that I floated on the air one time to one of those two Adamses

that the three of us attend graduation one of these years.

And I would moderate a conversation between, you know, those two Bayside high school grads for the benefit of the seniors and anybody else who was there.

I think that would be amazing.

Now I don't think they would want to do it.

A little bit more complicated.

So listing alphabetically, before we talk some in detail about Adrian Adams,

the Democratic primary now includes Adrian Adams, Eric Adams, Michael Blake, Andrew Cromo, Brad Lander, going alphabetically here, Zoran, Mammar, Zellner-Miree, Jessica Ramos, Scott Stringer, and Whitney Tilsen.

Ten candidates, and I'm not even sure if I'm leaving anybody out. Why do so many people think they have a shot?

Well, I think, you know, we have talked about it on this show.

People who follow local politics and the news out of City Hall know that this current Adams administration has been extremely tumultuous.

The indictment back last September, I think officially created the opening that a lot of people thought,
