So a couple of weeks ago I saw this story. It was in the star but they

nicked it from the mail apparently of this young lady Kirsten Ashby who had been

brutally attacked set alight by a neighbor.

And it just, it just, it connected with me on a way that a story hasn't done for a long, long time.

And we talked about it on the show and I was lucky enough I got chatting with her dad

Paul on Facebook and I was lucky enough that they invited me round to their house

on Saturday and Kirsten gave her first ever interview.

Some of you may find this a little bit too upset to listen to,

it's a bit triggering, there is a horrible attack in it.

And we do talk about the attack, but the majority of this is about family, it's about love, it's about being a parent, it's about survival, it's about,

it's about, it's about the journey that Kirsten and her family are making now.

I got to speak to Kirsten.

You'll also hear her dad Paul and her mom Lynn comes in about five minutes in and makes a cup of tea.

This is one of the most remarkable

stories you have ever heard. Kirsten, when you hear the specifics of the attack and why she stood still you'll realize she is a hero and I'm not being flippant with that she is an actual hero
