I'm on the phone with Ashfin, and today we are talking about The Last House on the Left

from 1972, directed and written by

west craven starring sandra peabody lucy grantham david hess and fred lincoln in this film two

teenage girls are kidnapped by two escaped murderers slash rapists and if you're new to the show

uh we're going to talk spoiler-free stuff for the first

15 or 20 minutes. And then we are going to spoil everything after that. We'll play a little

transition music to let you know you're headed into spoiler territory. So at that point,

you can duck out and watch it on 2B or I wouldn't be surprised if a few of you are just going

to opt to not watch this one and maybe listen to our discussion.

And as a heads up, this film has some content that is more extreme and depraved than what we usually discuss on the show.

Specifically, there are scenes containing rape and sexual violence.

So if that's a big no thanks for you, this is your chance to duck out now.

However, this is a significant and much-talked-about movie from one of the biggest names in horror,

West Craven. So we are discussing it. Ashvin, did you know very much about this movie before I made

you watch it? Oh, man, just, it's got such a legacy.

I feel like it's brought up so often.

And I just assume it's like a home invasion rape film.
