It's not like we personally knew these people, but because their music helped us know

ourselves, a little piece of us dies with them.

The circumstances of their passings vary. Misadventure, accidents,

overdoses, suicide. Some can be explained away while other deaths will forever remain a mystery.

natural curiosity when it comes to death.

When a music personality passes on unexpectedly,

we're possessed by all kinds of questions. How did this happen? How could it happen? What were

the circumstances? It's not that we're necessarily being ghoulish or voyeuristic, but most often

we're just looking for a reasonable explanation for what seems to be an unreasonable death.

Sometimes a death comes as a complete surprise.

Other times, we kind of sort of expected it.

Whatever the case, we want to know what happened leading up to their passing.
