He comes to us from the great country of Switzerland. His name is Taki. He goes by Taki. He's just published a book fairly recently.

There is a subtitle, The Amherst Pursuits and High Life of a Poor Little Greek Boy.

And he goes by Taki, T-A-K-I is a very long Greek class name.

Theodoro Copulos, but he's written for the Spectator for or he did write for the spectator for 50 years.

And back in the day, I used to read his pieces.

And that's back in the day when they had these things called newspapers.

You'd actually pick them up, picked them up in the morning with your cup of coffee and try to find things that were interesting.

But he, I would say, it's fair to say he was a bon vivant and a wit, really kind of a funny guy.

Critical of a lot of things.

This is not his first book.

He's written the Greek upheaval, kings, demagogues, and bayonets, high life, low life, princess playboys, and high class tarts, nothing to declare prison memoirs.

And he's also accrued a series of his columns in Taki, the Spectator Columns 2001 and 2009.

But we're going to talk about this book.

I read through it. I got about half to

two-thirds of the way through. Found it very interesting. He's like a historical figure. He knew so

many people in our 20th century culture that I hope you can talk about. So Taki, welcome to the show.
