0:57.8	when she began developing a relationship with the pastor at the church. And I say developing
1:03.8	a relationship, not to imply that she played any part in having guilt in this relationship.
1:09.6	What I mean is she became the target of grooming
1:12.2	by the pastor of her church. So the relationship she thought she was forming was a relationship
1:17.9	between a girl who needed a father figure and a man who treated her like a daughter. And
1:24.9	very soon she discovered that he was not interested in her like a father cares for a daughter. And very soon she discovered that he was not interested in her like a father cares for a
1:30.8	daughter. He said in his own words that he loved her like a man loves a woman. And so this 46-year-old
1:38.0	pastor with six children began grooming a 15-year-old girl and ultimately it ended in her molestation and her only hope was going
1:48.4	to college to get away from them. When she went to college, he began writing her letters. She was there for
1:53.0	about three weeks and he sent her several letters, one of which, the one that I'm going to look at
1:58.3	today, was intercepted by her sister and exposed the
2:02.0	situation. And so I wanted to go through the letter. I wanted to talk a little bit about what's
2:07.6	inside of it, talk a little bit about religious abuse. This letter was received. This letter was
2:12.9	written at September 6th, 2001, and it's written to Catherine from her abuser and the pastor of the church
