Well once again, thank you everybody for joining us on tonight and listen, we have a word for you.

And I want to skip all the preliminaries, all the platitudes, all the introductory declarations, and let's just get to work.

So if you would, could you follow along with me on 1st Samuel chapter 25,

we're going to read a few passages of scripture. This possibly is a story that you don't know about.

First Samuel, chapter 25, roughly verses 32 through 35, a backdrop of this. David and his boys have heard about

Nabelle having some food. So what the men like to do? We like to eat. So David's

like, listen, I've helped Nabelle and his boys, we're going to go over there to eat and

Nabelle disrespect David.

So David was one of those soldiers, I don't play with disrespect, I'm going ride on him.

I'm going to let them feel my wrath. but his wife Abigail comes out and has a conversation with David and this is where we're gonna part for the time that we have together on tonight

First Samuel chapter 25, versus 32 to 35.

Then David said to Abigail,

Blessed is the Lord God of Israel who sent you this day to meet me and blessed is your advice and blessed are you

because you have kept me this day from coming to bloodshed and avengeing myself with my own hand.

Or indeed, as the Lord God of Israel lives who has kept me back from hurting you,

unless you have hurried and come to meet me

surely by morning light David was not playing surely by morning light no males

would have been left to Nabel. So David received from her hand what she had brought

him and said to her go up in peace to your house.

See, I have heeded your voice and respect your person.

Our clause of concern and our verse of emphasis takes takes residence, and verse 33,

and blessed is your advice, and blessed are you,
