There were some very long and dark hours that first evening and into the morning and actually throughout the rest of that day when I believe that he was quite critically ill and actually thought that perhaps he would not survive.

However, because of probably the remarkable physical shape he was in, he was able to start showing some signs of recovery and now over

the last 24 hours has shown some significant improvement to the point where he's no longer critically ill but

classified rather as seriously ill. These guys are the best doctors in the world.

This is the Baylor medical system here, this team of doctors, he was in the finest hands, but you know there's only so much that a human

being can do. I mean his temperature soared to 107 degrees and the doctors told us no human being

could, you know, can really expect to hold out. Well you know the

bottom line is Mike was the recipient of a miracle and it was a miracle and that's the bottom line and again to the Middle East we love you.

I spoke to Mike just before I came down here and I asked him if I could tell the people something that he would like

them to know and he shaped his lips to say, I love them.

You all excuse me for interrupting this, but I just want to say this.

We're blessed with the finest doctors of her known to my life.

They find people that were dedicated to our sons.

Without them, we wouldn't, Mike wouldn't be with us today. The power up there was great.

He answered our prayers. He's brought Mike back to us. Let me just say this about Mike. He is a champion and this boy will come back. It may take time. The big thing is we have him back now. The other things are nothing about what we just went through and Mike will be back.

You take that from his old dad. He'll be back and he'll be a champion again.
