They end of the 60 season and now it's time to move on and look ahead starting

Monday night at Madison Square Garden against an old friend, the Indiana Pacers and

I mean this with respect to history when I say what I'm about to say and we'll get to

who's mad at Lugi in just a couple of minutes. I love history. I think Tiki loves history.

But one thing about history I appreciate it. I love it, it's important to know about it,

but sometimes history is annoying to hear about over and over and over again.

So I'll give you a specific example for me. I have great respect for the 1986 Mets.

I have great respect for Keith Hernandez and Doc and Darrell. I'm sick of hearing about it.

I'm sick of hearing about it because the Mets haven't been able to give us our history and

win a championship so we don't always have to hear the same stories over and over

again it's nothing against the 86 Mets but but as a 40-year-old man who doesn't remember 86,

I appreciate the history, I know the history, I'm done hearing about the history. I'll give you

another example. Joe Namath, I have great

respect for Joe Namath, but if anybody is under the age of 60 you're sick of

hearing about Super Bowl 3. You're sick of hearing about the

Super Bowl 3. You're sick of hearing about the guarantee. Again, we all love history, but after a while

you got to make your own history. So this gets me to my point.

What was so great about last night

and what is so great about this Nick team

and what they have now accomplished

in back-to-back seasons with this new core that you guys love is that it is time to stop hearing about the same

damn players and stories from 25 years ago.
