The Supreme Court of the State of Florida has extended its suspension of jury trials until July 2nd due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The suspension has been in place since mid-March

and legal experts worried that the unprecedented delay

will lead to tremendous backlogs in the court system.

To mitigate that, law enforcement officials have attempted to prevent cases from piling up by

declining to prosecute for minor offenses and releasing some low-level offenders.

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement,

which was a 50% reduction from March's 43,379 arrests

In Modesto, California, police arrested a man after he allegedly hopped onto a wine tanker truck and unscrewed a valve on the tanker, sending wine gushing out onto the highway.

Gabriel Moreno was captured on the Freightliner surveillance video driving next to the truck

in a sedan on Highway 99.

He activated his hazard lights motioning for the tanker driver to pull over to the side of the road.

Once the driver had done that, he watched as Moreno ran from his vehicle to the passenger side of the wine tanker dressed only in his underpants.
