But now, Nipsey was the charismatic tour guide for this new generation.

This is the first time Nip had been on the radio and had saturation on the radio and the

record was doing well.

People loved this song.

During his song blasting on the airwaves and his hometown was a major moment for 23

year old Nipsey Hustle.

And I remember he was so excited.

He used to just call me like, yo, how's the song doing?

Yo, we getting requests?

Like he was so pumped to be able to turn it on and hear himself.

There was one problem though.

Debbie and her colleagues didn't realize there were so many references to the Rolling 60s

on the airwaves.

Blue Rag, Shat, yeah, that's the Rolling 60s reference.

I'm turned it up because I grew up in the 60s.

Another reference to the game.

You see, Nipsey was a member of the Rolling 60s.

He was rapping about what he knew.
