Summary
Brian was thirteen and home alone when someone knocked on the door. Looking out the dining room window, he saw two kids standing on the porch, waiting patiently for someone to answer.
He nearly opened the door—until an overwhelming feeling stopped him. Moments later, after another knock, he checked the window again. The porch was empty.
The strange part? With a long driveway and a clear view of the yard, there was nowhere they could have gone without him seeing them leave.
