Been getting some stuff done around here. Now, we're in between classes, and I've got two or three days of time here.

So I want to make a video. I want to read to you again, if you'll let me, if you don't mind.

This time, I'm going to read something from Meditations by Marcus

Aurelius. Um, I, he's got a lot of stuff that I really like and he's got stuff that as a Christian,

I'm like, no, I can't, I can't, uh, can't get on board with that, but he's got a lot of stuff that is really, really wise for getting through life.

And I want to read one of them.

It's one of the things that I have, it's one of his points that has changed and helped me the most.

So he says, in the gymnastic exercises, suppose that a man has torn

thee with his nails and by dashing against thy head has inflicted a wound. Well, we neither show any

signs of vexation, nor are we offended, nor do we suspect him afterwards as a treacherous

fellow, and yet we are on our guard against him. Not, however, as an enemy, not yet with suspicion,

but we quietly get out of his way.

Something like this, let thy behavior be in all the other parts of life.

Let us overlook many things in those who are like antagonists in the gymnasium.

For it is in our power, as I said, to get out of the way

and to have no suspicion nor hatred.

Now I can hear protestations coming from the phone.

He's not talking about cowardice.

He's not talking about weakness.

In fact, quite the opposite, it's incredible strength.

He's saying if you're in the gym and you take on an opponent and that opponent in the course of wrestling scratches you with his nails,
