Welcome to the program today, Mando Gonzalez here in studio, and I have through Skype, Jim DeYoung, and he wrote a book, The Prechub Rapture, The Key to the End of the World. So welcome, Jim.

Well, thank you, Mando. It's a delight to be here with you.

Yeah, this is great, and I don't think we can ever have enough good books defending the pre-tribulation of rapture

because as we, it seems to be as we're getting closer to what we believe is the pre-trip rapture,

that there's far more criticism that it's going on.

And of course, with the internet getting out there, now everybody's an expert.

They're not really reading books about it necessarily,

but they're reading sound bites. And so I want to get into some of that, but for our audience here,

kind of introduce yourself to them. Well, I'm a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago,

and from there I attended a Southern Baptist College in Texas, which was an

interesting experience. Then I went on to Talbot and then finished with my doctorate at Dallas

Seminary. I had the opportunity to come to the northwest to Portland, Oregon, to teach at

Monombo School of the Bible, where I was for four years. and then I went across town to Western Seminary,

formerly Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, where I've taught for 40 years, and now I'm a

senior professor from there, and I occasionally teach classes by extension.

Do you miss the classroom?

Very much so.

And you know, the trend is to do less and less classroom work and more and more extension and

you never see the students and so forth and so forth.

It seemed to be a trend that is unstoppable and may be necessary, but I think it's a detriment to good education.

Well, let me ask you this. So, you know, thinking about the preacher of rapture, again, I went

to Moody as well, and why this book and why at this time? But what was you thinking? What
