This is an episode that requires even more in-depth than usual in our list of Brady episodes.

The Kelly Kids, Kelly's Kids.

This was a very unusual episode for the Brady Bunch.

It was used by Sherwood Schwartz, the network and Paramount Studios, as a spin-off pilot for another series. One of the things that was going on with

the Brady Bunch in season five when this was filmed is that the Brady's were growing up, and the

writers were still writing for kids. So instead of sending Greg off to college, they looked for a way

to create a new series that they could start all over with with very young kids.

And this was one of the solutions they had.

A bruce.

An episode in which the Brady's had very little to do with anything except atmosphere.

First aired January 4th, 1974. Only the second episode in the entire series that was written by Sherwood Schwartz, our executive producer, produced by

Howard Leeds and Lloyd Schwartz, directed by Richard Michaels with special guest stars Ken Berry and Brooke Bundy as the Kellys.

Brooke Bundy of General Hospital fame after this. Ken Barry, F. Troop, he was in, it was Mayberry or Mayberry, R.D., not exactly sure, but he kind of took over for Andy Riffith.

They do a lot of Disney stuff as well?

I don't know. But a song and dance band, all around performer, entertainer, and actor, wonderful.
