A lot of NFL news involving the tush push, the Eagles on the

field, but also off the field, what they're doing. I want to talk about the new DC Stadium, bringing

a lot of nostalgia into my heart. And Tom Brady has a couple different appearances on this podcast.

All right. Let's start with the continuing controversy over the cap. And just again, background,

the salary cap is and always will be a mechanism to achieve the two most important words in sports leagues, which is competitive balance,

trying to level the financial playing field.

So even if Steve Balmer's worth whatever $130 billion and other NBA owners are only worth $800 million,

theoretically, there's parity. Theoretically, they're all playing on the same

playing field with a cap. Now I know they're exceptions, but the NBA, as everyone knows, has really

hardened their cap in response to teams like the Clippers and the Warriors that have been spending

$250 million on $140 million cap.

So that's been hardened up, if you will.

But now we have this potential circumvention.

And to review, Kauai Leonard, an endorsement deal with Aspiration,

who is a tree planning company that also just happened to have a $50

million investment from Steve Balmer.

Aspiration was trying to be a sponsor for the team.

So there was a connection there, but this Kauai thing seems to set off some antennae, especially

with Kauai's uncle Dennis, always asking for extra things

in the contract and all the things that he wanted other teams, like the Raptors and Spurs to do,
