So, this entire episode was recorded last week and we were off.

We'd received the screeners from Hulu and wanted to record it to have it ready to be released

at 3 a.m. immediately after the episode aired.

But, obviously, given the tragic events that have occurred in Israel and Gaza over the

past couple of days, there was no world in which we were going to release an episode and

not speak on something that is so important to us.

So, as you know, we did not release an episode on Tuesday and we fully recognize and understand

how strange of a transition it is going to be to go from talking about what we are talking

about to then recapping a Kardashian episode, especially with this overwhelming feeling

of the shit just does not matter and believe me, we feel that so, so deeply.

But as I'm said, this was a pre-recorded episode from last week and one, we have a contractual

obligation to be releasing episodes, but second of all, we really hope that releasing

this can hopefully provide a moment of levity amidst a really, really dark, scary time.

We both have so many feelings and emotions regarding all of this and we're really trying

to think, what is the best way to convey what we're feeling?

How do we want to talk about it?

Of course, we have the Instagram page where we have been posting constantly, but a podcast

is a different medium.

It's a totally different thing when you are talking to an audience and where we ultimately

landed was that in order to get our message across and to convey our words and the way

that we felt best, we wanted to write a statement and then read it.
