This is the movement of the Holy Family.

So welcome to our Rosary meditation.

This Rosary is coming from Bethlehem,

at least our little Bethlehem.

So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

And let's call the mind all those we've promised to pray for.

The first joyful mystery, the enunciation.

Very often anxiety and depression

come from the belief that we are not good enough, that we are inferior, worthless, and we put too much pressure on ourselves to achieve so that we'll be valuable.

Pride is the lie that my personal worth comes from some achievement, but that's not true. Our personal worth is

received from God and we receive his image when we are conceived and we receive his divinity when we're baptized.

Our value is to be a child of God and that is received, not earned.

But no one wants to be loved except for what they have accomplished.

However, this establishes a criteria no one can keep up.

Mary shows us where to find our true work.

It comes from God.

It's a gift from Him. It can only be received.

She received her value from God when he made her in his likeness and placed his spirit in her soul.

And then at the enunciation,

God invited Mary to receive his son.

And Mary responded, I am the handmaid of the Lord. Be redundant to me according to your word. Mary received all God had to offer and that is what makes her great.

Mary teaches us that receiving must come before accomplishment if we are to avoid the destructive cycle of pride and anxiety.
