Summary

If you're tired of "just doing your best" and still coming up empty — this episode is for you.

Tatum opens up about how her passion for business, once ignited by God, slowly became routine... heavy... even burdensome. Sound familiar? Whether it’s your faith, your work, or your purpose — if you've ever wondered why the fire doesn’t feel the same anymore, this episode will meet you where you are.

This week kicks off our new Blessed + Bossed Up Book Club series on The Spirit-Filled Life by Dr. Charles Stanley, a deeply personal and theologically grounded guide to rediscovering the joy, peace, and power that comes from truly living led by the Holy Spirit.

Through honest reflection and raw storytelling, Tatum explores what it means to surrender again — not just your business goals, but your heart, your weariness, your routine, your emotions — all of it. She shares how the Holy Spirit met her right where she was, not in perfection, but in her honesty.

This episode is a permission slip to stop striving and start abiding.

You’ll Hear About:

  • Why May is a personal turning point for Tatum in faith, family, and entrepreneurship
  • How The Spirit-Filled Life meets you in dry, discouraged seasons
  • The truth about burnout in faith and business—and how the Holy Spirit revives
  • What makes the Christian walk different from striving in your own strength
  • Practical ways to assess if you’re truly living Spirit-led
  • How to prepare your heart to journey with us through this book

Discussion Questions (from the book’s “Think About It” section):

  • Is there a vast difference between what you experienced as a new believer and what you're experiencing now?
  • Do you know Christians who just seem to have something or know something that you don't?
  • What makes you different from friends who aren't believers?
  • Peace, joy, and love—are they evident in your life?
  • What can you currently attribute to the power of the Holy Spirit in your life?
  • How would you explain what it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

My allergies are trying to take me out, which means I sound congested. I did my best to try to get it all out.

And I'm doing my best to speak in a way to where I'm not using a lot of my nasal capacity so that I don't sound too nasally.

But the episode got to get done. And so I pray that you bear with me as I navigate the congestion.

May is my favorite month of the year.

It's one where the Lord has just consistently showed me a level of his sovereignty and power and grace and kindness that just always makes me emotional as we approach this fifth month of the year. I call it my

1:20.4

month of grace. This is the month where the Lord has really shown out. This month marks 10 years

of entrepreneurship for me. It marks eight years

1:29.3

of full-time entrepreneurship. That time in my journey where I tell you guys how the Lord
