In our world, there is so much sorrow, misery, and sadness.

We see indicators all around us that reveal to us that most people are looking for something,

anything, that can bring them true joy. In this study on joy,

Scott Pauley will take us to God's Word and help us discover the source of true, lasting joy.

And as we study the Bible together, we will find that God's joy is readily available to us

through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

When I was just a very young father starting out, my pastor gave me a tremendous piece of advice.

He said, Scott, there are going to be seasons of life and ministry that are harder

than others, some that are busier than others, more taxing than others. He said, I would recommend

that with your young family, you plan special events, a vacation, something that everybody can

look forward to, plan it well in advance, include include everybody in it and then talk about it

frequently talk about it throughout the year and I said why should I do that and he said don't you

know that anticipation the expectation of a thing is a huge part of the blessing of it well he was

exactly right and on a very personal, we did that with our children growing

up.

We still do that.

Well, I want you to know that the Heavenly Father has done the same thing for us.

You see, for the child of God, the best is always yet to come.

Jesus always saves the best for last.

The path of the just is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. I hath not seen, eareth not heard,

it is not entered into the heart of man the things God hath prepared for them that love him.

The Lord always has more for us to look forward to.
