up to the Christmas holidays here in 2022, and it's a study on the issue of joy. Joy!

The Christmas story itself has a lot of commentary made about joy relating to Jesus' birth,

so I just thought joy would be a good subject for us to delve into as we look into the

scripture. So I hope you'll stick around for the next few weeks as we dig into what

the scripture says about joy. Now, first off, let me say this, coming up on Friday, we

for this episode. Alright, we're going to start out our study on joy by going back to

the Old Testament. We're going to look at Nehemiah chapter 8 verse number 10. Now, the

story of Nehemiah is a very interesting one. Nehemiah is one of three different Jewish

leaders who returned from a captivity or an exile that Israel had been under in Babylon.

And Nehemiah came back during the time that Babylon had been conquered by Persia. And

so he came back during the Persian period and he began rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem.

And from all that we can tell in the book of Nehemiah, he was a very godly man. He was

a man who not only wanted to rebuild the wall, he wanted to rebuild the people. And so

here in Nehemiah chapter 8 verse number 10, he's encouraging the people after a time of
