In our world, there is so much sorrow, misery, and sadness.

We see indicators all around us that reveal to us that most people are looking for something,

anything, that can bring them true joy. In this study on joy,

Scott Pauley will take us to God's Word and help us discover the source of true, lasting joy.

And as we study the Bible together, we will find that God's joy is readily available to us

through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is a joy that God gives that all people can enjoy, and that would be God's common

grace. We have food to eat. We have breath in our body. We have

purpose for life as far as work is concerned. That's something that all people have the privilege to

enjoy. But there is a joy that is not common, if I may say it that way. It is very special. There is a joy that is not rooted if I may say it that way it is very special there is a joy that is not

rooted in the material it's rooted in the spiritual it is not found in what you can see or

what you can do it is discovered in what you cannot see and that is the life of faith

in our last study we talked about the joy of work and there is a joy

in work and you ought to enjoy the work god has given you to do but today we come to psalm five

to discover something about the joy of faith work that's a good thing we we can get up and go to our task and go to our jobs today and do

what we've been given to do, rejoice in the strength and the ability to do it. But never forget

this, there is a work only God can do. And we access that by faith alone. Listen to the psalmist words in Psalm 5 and verse number 11.

But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice.

Let them ever shout for joy because thou defendest them.

Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

I'm going to tell you, there's a lot of joy in this verse. Do you hear it?

Rejoice, joy, and joyful. Three times in Psalm 5 and verse number 11, we have the joy of the Lord.
