let me show you a better way

and we are live just a few moments early.

Go ahead and get on the road, so to say, with it.

And get on the road is a good term to use today.

Because for those that are new to the show, and that could be even been around 10 years,

you're relatively new compared to some of the OGs of the TSP universe,

the show began on the road.

I used to get on every day,

and I'm going to coming to you for my personal mobile studio,

the 2000.5 Jetta diesel TDI.I.

I bet you some of you didn't even think I

can do that anymore, I remember it. But the old man brain is not that far gone. That was all the

way back in 2008. And so half of 2008, June of 2008 through all of 2009, this show was done

on the road. And in the early days, as we started a show called, of all things, the survival podcast about preparedness, self-sufficiency, self-reliance, independence, and liberty, the four pillars of the podcast.

I frequently at that time told a story, the story of the ant and the grasshopper,

sometimes a little bit longer story, sometimes just a quick reference 30 seconds to it.

But we told that story a lot.

And today's show, the show will change a little bit from how it originally was,

but I pulled the bullet points and then modified them a bit to modernize and what have you

from a show that was done in October of 2009.

So the original version of this was done audio only on the road into a little MP3 recorder during the foundational days of the survival podcast.
