special runcast plan today with our friend, John Beavis, the drummer from the band Idols, who I met

years ago when we first started playing that band. Not only will he tell you what keeps him going as a

runner, but he'll also curate the music of this entire podcast. And believe

or not, he only started running in the last few years. What was it that got you running, John?

During the pandemic, this was all through my wife, who was an actually savior. She said,

right, let's get fully fit here. We've got all this time off. Let's get fit. So we started running,

we started exercising. She doesn't

really drink. I drink. So obviously, I've got no one to drink with during this point in my life,

which is good because I love hanging out of my wife anyway. So I didn't drink for about three

months. And then I realized that, oh, you don't really need to drink it's not

that good I still I still love it I still do it but um I lost so much weight through both not drinking

and running and then you just feel good because you're like oh wow I'm not actually tired again

there's definitely a reason why people who are healthy, exercise and don't drink.
