John's back next week. And it's kind of cool. I read this book from a guy who I have a lot of respect for as a performer, as a thinker, as an activist.

And his book's about his life.

And his life is one of those lives that you want to read about if you are at all interested in what it's like to grow up in Hollywood.

I mean, Ed Begley Jr. is the son of Ed Begley.

He's an Academy Award-winning actor and to have been in his

house growing up with the people who were swimming through that life had to be something.

And now you can read about that. And then how Ed's life evolved from that house is remarkable as well.

The new book is to the Temple of Tranquility and step on it. Tell everybody why it's called that.

Well, you can't rest tranquility. You can't rush Serenity, as it turns out. I tried to find serenity in the bottle of

Solich Naya, and it doesn't work that way. You can get it for a minute or two, but it doesn't

last, and you pay a big price for it. And I rushed everything. I rushed through everything I

was doing in my young life. And finally, I learned to be present, and I read a bit of Alan Watts. Have you ever heard of the writer Alan Watts?

Oh, of course.

Of course, yeah.

What a great thinker.

What a great philosopher.

And he really got through to me that this is it.

He wrote a book called that very line, this is it.

And he wasn't kidding, this is it.
