Well, the news from Springfield, Ohio just keeps on coming.

And the latest, you may have heard it on Debra's newscast, is that the city has canceled its annual celebration of cultural diversity.

Apparently, nobody in town believes in it.

They've had days of violent threats coming from all over the country, I assume.

So schools have been closed, government offices have been closed,

and they were going to have a two-day culture fest starting

September 27th, and that's been canceled. And this all dates back to a round of the internet

postings that Donald Trump and J.D. Vance latched on to. And the most spectacular posting was about cats and dogs being

eaten by local Haitian immigrants who were here illegally. And this thing, just blew up out of

nowhere and ended up being the center, centerpiece of the debate.

And every day, more stuff comes out.

Now, it's impossible to know exactly what's true and not true.

It really is.

Because I don't think most of the media wants to look too closely.

They just want to take, I've learned what the modern day media does, is they take a denial

from a public official or a police chief and or, you know, a corporate executive and say,

wow, the story's been debugged because the mayor has denied it. Well, no, just because

somebody denies something doesn't mean it's been debunked. It just means they're denying it. But

every guilty criminal denies that he commits the crime, right? How many guilty criminals go to court

and plead not guilty and sometimes get away with it?

Denying something doesn't mean it didn't happen.
