Two rounds of the moist line in the immediate future,

320 and 350. I wanted to read you. We're going to have a special guest come on in just a moment,

but until we get there, I did promise you this quote from Karen Bass. You know, the Supreme Court

by a six to three vote says homeless people

do not have a constitutional right to sleep in public that cities can can't break up homeless

encampments. And it's not cruel and unusual punishment. It's not a violation of the Eighth

Amendment. They have no right to sleep on city streets and sidewalks and parks. And carried Bass, this is why you cannot

trust her, she's upset. She said today's decision is not surprising given the makeup of the

court, but disappointing nonetheless. This ruling must not be used as an excuse for cities

across the country to attempt to arrest their way out of this problem or hide the homelessness

crisis in neighboring cities or in jail. Neither will work, neither will save lives, and that route

is more expensive for taxpayers than actually solving the problem.

The idea that she cares how expensive anything is for taxpayers is nonsense. Her inside safe

program, taking people off the streets and putting them in hotels and motels is extraordinarily

expensive and everybody is saying that L.A. can't afford it

much longer. And for her to pretend that she cares about taxpayers, by the way, if the city doesn't

want homelessness and they want to move them or they want to threaten them with a jail or arrest or a fine, they have every right to.

Cities don't have to put up with all the drug addicts and with all the mental patients that pour in.
