This is quite a story.

You may have heard the USC student who police say stabbed a homeless man to death, Ivan

Gallegos, for a couple of days he was arrested and held on suspicion of murder, $2 million

bond. And today, Gascon is saying no charges. Chris, how are you? Hey, John. Yeah, that's right. So

Gascon announced this afternoon.

He is not going to be filing charges because after careful consideration and thorough

review of evidence, his office believes the student was acting in self-defense and had genuine

fear for his life and others.

He says he, Gascon says, he expresses his deepest condolences to the homeless man's family.

Now, what we know, John, is that friends of Gallegos say that they heard a car alarm go off.

They went outside with Gallegos and saw the homeless man sitting in one of Gallegos' friends' cars on Greek row outside of the frat houses.

They say Gallegos confronted him.

Now, this was Monday night, and they say that he had no choice but to defend himself when Xavier Sir, sorry, serf, the homeless man allegedly told Gallegos he had a gun. Now what happened between him,
