First, we're going to start off with talking to the Santa Clara District Attorney Jeff

Rosen. Jeff came and endorsed Nathan Hockman against George Gascon, although you think on paper, Gascon and Jeff Rosen would be on the same side.

He calls himself a reform district attorney, supported Prop 47, did endorse Jackie Lacey last time around.

But he thinks Gascon has been such a disaster.

He wants to make it clear that Nathan Hockman ought to be elected DA.

Were you against George Gascon being DA four years ago?

I know you endorsed Jackie Lacey, but it seems like you were similarly a reformed DA.

Can you talk about where you overlapped with him and where you didn't?

Yes, I can.

I first met George Gascon when he was the DA of San Francisco, and I was the DA of Santa Clara County, where I'm still the DA.

And while it's true that there are some issues that we agreed upon, whether it was three strikes reform or Prop 47 many years ago, there's a lot of significant differences between us, between our approaches, between our experience.
