All right, let's talk about, we've got a lot going on over the next few weeks because they're still working on getting signatures to do the big rewrite of Prop 47.

And soon we'll be able to find out if they got enough signatures to get that on the ballot.

Now, the legislature knows that people are unhappy with Prop 47.

And it seems like they want to give the

impression that they're doing something about, let's say, all the retail theft that goes on,

to make you think that they realize Prop 47 has got big issues. But Bill Ossaly wants to take this, take this on because the attorney general Rob Bonta

and the Speaker of the Assembly Robert Revis announced they have a big legislative package

to address crime.

Let's get Bill O'Saly on to talk about what his impression is of what they're trying to do.

You don't think much of this package that the legislature and the Attorney General are unveiling.

First, why don't – can you explain what it is they claim they're going to do

with this new legislation and why it falls short? Sure. Let me just say, I've never heard

people speak so much and say so little. They just talk and they bloviate and when you get down to the meat of it, there's nothing there.

So today they said they introduced a bunch of bills to address retail theft.

This is their new hot word now.
